Famous Skaggs: Tyler Skaggs

Tyler Skaggs is a professional baseball player currently pitching for the major league Los Angeles Angels.  He was drafted in the 2009 draft from Santa Monica High School and previously pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tyler Skaggs is a direct descendant of Richard Skaggs the Long Hunter. Richard was famous for going on long hunts into Kentucky and Tennessee with his brother Henry Skaggs and other famous hunters like Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton, Kaspar Mansker, etc. He served in the American revolution in Morgan's Rifles and was camped at Valley Forge in December 1777 and January 1778.
