The Big-Y DNA Test is on Sale

For men with the Skaggs, Scaggs or Skeggs surname interested in tracing your Skaggs ancestry back to colonial times or perhaps Europe, the Family Tree DNA Big-Y test is on sale through Thanksgiving (UPDATE: now Christmas) for $399.

I've discussed the Big-Y test here. I just checked the Yfull website where they are piecing together the Y DNA for the entire human race. We now have at least 13 Americans who have posted their Y DNA results and appear to be descendants from the same haplogroups as the Keig testers from the Isle of Man. If you have tested and your results are posted at Yfull, please post a comment with your haplogroup and which Skaggs branch you descend from, e.g. Old Peter, The Long Hunters, James and Susanna, etc. so we can see if we can use these results to make sense of the American Skaggs families.
