Henry A Skaggs married Matilda Ramsey c. 1803 and they had three children living in Jefferson County, Virginia and later Pendleton and Botetourt Counties.
Here is the confirmed evidence we have for Henry A Skaggs:

1 male <10 Edward
1 female 26-44 Matilda
1 female <10 Marie
1820 Census, Pendleton County, Virginia

1 male 10-15 Edward
1 male <10 Alexander

Sep. 1825, Botetourt County, Virginia Deed Books

Then Henry A Skaggs disappears from the record. His sons end up in Greenbrier County, Virginia. We think there are Skaggs descendants of this family our there today and we could sure use your help. If you are a male Skaggs, Scaggs, Skeggs, etc. and are interested in joining the Y-DNA project you can contact the Group Administrator here.
I think this Henry Skaggs might be brother to the Leonard Skaggs mentioned in an earlier post.
